Our History

Our story began in 2008, when Zbigniew Ohler started operating as one of the first grain brokers in Poland. At that time, the company entered both domestic and international markets related to the trade in grains, oilseeds and related products.

During the same period, the brand’s distinctive logo was created, featuring a bull — a symbol of rising prices — and a bear, representing falling prices.

In 2009, Zbigniew Ohler also began organising the Gdańsk Grain Exchange, an event bringing together representatives of the agri-food sector, including agricultural producers, trading companies, exporters, representatives of the milling and oilseed-processing industries, and feed manufacturers.

The following years brought the company’s involvement in a number of significant transactions on the grain market:

2010-2011: intermediation in the sale of barley from Polish food supplies; in co-operation with Agricultural Market Agency we took care of the proper trade of over 220,000 tones of grain.
20 June 2013 - intermediation in the organisation of first full loading of Handysize type vessel,
15 August 2016 - intermediation in the first full loading of Panamax type vessel.

A New Stage of Development

In 2024, the brokerage business was transformed into Ohler Brokers Sp. z o.o.

The company continues the long-standing experience of the Ohler brand, focusing exclusively on professional brokerage services in the trade of grains, oilseeds and related products on both domestic and international markets.

The organisation of the Gdańsk Grain Exchange is now continued by Zbigniew Ohler as part of his business activities, while Ohler Brokers Sp. z o.o. focuses on brokerage services.

Every day, we monitor market developments and analyse price movements and trading conditions in order to provide our clients with reliable support in concluding transactions.

We cooperate, among others, with farms, feed manufacturers, oilseed processing plants, mills, trading companies, exporters and importers. We connect market participants from Poland and other European countries, particularly those located in the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Mediterranean and Black Sea regions.

Our business is built on Polish capital, industry expertise and experience gained since 2008. Our goal is to provide efficient and secure brokerage services based on up-to-date market knowledge, transparent principles and long-term business relationships.
